Patricia MacLachlan is the author of the Sarah, Plain and Tall Series (of which Sarah, Plain and Tall won multiple awards, including the Newbery Medal in 1986 [the Newbery Medal is awarded to authors, the Caldecott is given to illustrators]), as well as many other books for children and young adults.
"The more you do it [writing], the stronger you get at it…."
